This is the trademark of Transformation + Innovation. i had the priviledge to present a few slides during a breakfast presentation on a RESTful WfXML: A User Centric Resource-Oriented Approach to Workflows as they apply to the orchestration of OGC services with some examples taken during the recent South California fires.
A very interesting talk from Dennis Wisnosky, CTO of the DoD Business Mission Area on Agile Architectures…talking about a challenge for DoD!
This current work is sponsored by the OGC (as part of OWS-5) and NASA. It is also getting a lot of attention from the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) as a complementary approach to the existing SOAP-based WfXML API for Workflow Interoperability.
Here is a link to an excellent presentation from Mikel Maron. The notes for the slides here. I had the privilege to meet Mikel at FOSS4G & Where 2.0. There is indeed a growing Community of people interested in making a difference. This is very energizing to see this.
Come and Join it. You too can make a difference…
Many kudos to Mikel for his relentless energy and dedication!
Our paper “A Web 2.0 and OGC Enabled Sensor Web Architecture for Global Earth Observing System of Systems” was presented at the NSTC 2007 conference on June 20, 2007 by Dan Mandl.
The slides from the presentation are available here
Due to high demand, here is the official link for the OGC Sensor Web Enablement White Paper
Big week this week with the OGC Technical Committeed Meetings and Interoperability Day. Dan Mandl will be presenting the EO1 Geobliki effort on Oct 4th in Tyson’s Corner. There will be a big coordination meeting later that evening with the ESTO award winners, including Steve Chien (JPL), Mike Botts (UAH) and a few others. Stay tuned for more.
